Elissa and Steven's engagement session was the dreamiest fall session! We explored the orchard, had a picnic with apple cider doughnuts, and walked through the pumpkin patch!
How they met:
"Steven and I met at a 4th of July party in 2016. A few weeks later his sister reached out to me to let me know Steven had asked her to give me his number. We started talking and getting to know each other. I had just left for my junior year of college so getting to know each other consisted of a lot of texting and FaceTime, and our first date was at the Cheesecake Factory. I was such a nervous mess I think I dropped every piece of silverware on the ground! The next weekend Steven came to my school to watch my softball game. I ended up getting hurt that game so our afternoon was spend in the ER while I got some stitches and ended up on crutches. (I think this may have been when I knew he was a keeper!!) I went home that weekend and watched Steven play hockey and later that day (9/25/15) Steven asked me to be his girlfriend! We spent the next two years doing long distance part of the year until I graduated. This really helped strengthen our relationship but we were happy to be in the same town after I graduated, and in October of 2019 we bought our first home!"
The Proposal:
"This past July 4th, we had a housewarming party which Steven used as the perfect opportunity to pop the question in front of our family and friends! Steven gave a little speech in front of everyone thanking them for coming and for helping work on our house. He then said that homes were for making memories and so...'with all our friends and family here...you know I love you very much, so I would like to know, (as he gets down on his knee, he pulls out the gorgeous ring he picked out himself) will you marry me?' Of course I said yes! I can't wait to marry my best friend on our 5 year anniversary!"
